The Icon is the ultimate addition to any vaping collection. This device is the result of thousands of hours of research, design, and testing. We welcome you to the Pure Smoker family and hope that you enjoy our most reliable design yet.

At this time, the Icon ships alone as a base kit or with (2) 3.7v 14500 batteries. Please make sure to read up on battery safety at www.Pure-Smokers.com. Never leave batteries unattended while charging or while in use. We always recommend removing the batteries from the unit when it is not in use to avoid any accidental activation of the unit. Do not use any battery that appears to be damaged or has a tear in the outer coating.

The new Icon mechanical switch is both a work of art, and one of the simplest designs on the market. The key to keeping your Icon in top condition is maintenance. We will go over switch troubleshooting and maintenance later on in this guide.

First Use: When your Icon first arrives, there are just a few simple steps to get yourself up and running!

1. Place two batteries into the charger and perform the initial charge. The initial charge should be 4-6 hours, and subsequent charges should last 3-4 hours.

2. Once the batteries are charged, remove the adapter from the unit.

3. Place the batteries into the unit with the positive end facing the adapter.

4. Attach the adapter to the unit.

5. Take your atomizer, and gently turn it into/onto the adapter. Once you feel resistance, stop! Continuing to crank the atomizer down will result in an atomizer short which could damage both the atomizer, and the unit itself. **Note: There will be a small gap between the atomizer and adapter on all models- most noticeably the 510 model. This gap is supposed to exist, and trying to turn the atomizer further into the body will harm the adapter and atomizer.**

6. Remove the mouthpiece from the top of the atomizer.

7. Grab your bottle of liquid, and slowly drip 2-3 drops of liquid into the atomizer. Drip one drop at a time and make sure that it absorbs into the mesh. You do not want liquid pooled on top of the atomizer. That will mean that you have flooded the atomizer, and you will have to blow it out to relieve the excess fluid.

8. Replace the mouthpiece, and unlock the locking mechanism on the button by turning it clockwise.

9. Depress the button however you feel most comfortable, and with your mouth on the mouthpiece, inhale. Some users prefer to use their pinky, while others have found it easier to use the entire fist. This is entirely up to you.

10. After a few seconds, release the button and exhale. You should be able to blow out vapor.

ICON Adapter/Tube/Switch-End Cap

1) Stainless Steel Adapter: (3) piece design. Outer shell with threads, center contact post, and delrin/plastic insulator.

2) Stainless Steel Tube: Male external threads on top side and female internal thread on bottom.

3) End cap/Switch: (4) Piece design with (1) SS Flat washer, (1) SS Spring washer, (1) Brass Screw, and (1) spring.

In total, excluding the battery & atomizer, the ICON has 12 pieces, all of which play a critical role to its functionality.

Maintenance:

Daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance is KEY to keeping your ICON in tip-top shape. In this part of the guide, we are going to go over several things including how to keep your Prodigy clean, and steps to clean it once dirty, as well as actual maintenance of the unit itself.

Cleaning:
Cleaning should not be taken lightly. We often see many of our devices come back weeks and months later that are ill performing simply because the user never took the time to thoroughly clean their device. Layers of gunk build up can cause your device to perform quite poorly and cause quite a few issues.

A) Atomizer Cleaning:

We recommend blowing your atomizer out thoroughly every 6-8 hours (This does not apply to cartomizers.) Disconnect your atomizer from your device and grab a paper towel/napkin/rag. Blow (from the top/where you would normally inhale) through the atomizer so the liquid contents of the atomizer end up in the paper towel. Do this several times until no more liquid is coming out. Once done, wipe the threads of the atomizer down. Connect the atomizer back to your device, drip 3-4 drops of liquid, and start using.
Overnight storage: We recommend disconnecting your atomizer from the device each and every night. This serves a couple purposes. A) You are disconnecting a live circuit, which in the end is safer. B) You might as well drain your atomizer while you are sleeping. To drain, simply set up a piece of paper towel next to wherever your store your device for the night, set the atomizer upright on the piece of paper towel, and let it sit & drain. In the morning, add 3-4 drops of liquid to the atomizer, connect it to your device, and you are good to go!
Soaking or washing your atomizers out with alcohol, hot water, etc... While we don't recommend a specific way of doing this, we have heard many clients having success with doing one of the above options. We have found that blowing out your atomizers and draining your atomizers daily really cuts down on the need to do the above.

B) Device Cleaning & Maintenance:

Adapter: The adapter threads end up with quite a bit of juice on them. The adapter is built with a very small "canal/well" to help catch the liquid that may leak out of the atomizer and down the side of the tube. We recommend cleaning this well with a Q-tip or paper towel at least once a day and/or when needed. We also recommend cleaning the threads with a Q-tip soaked in alcohol about once a week to keep the stainless in great shape. If you are a person who enjoy using several adapters or if you happen to take your adapter off regularly, we also recommend cleaning the larger threads that connect to the actual tube. Over time, you may start to see dirt and junk collect in these threads, make sure to clean this with an alcohol swab or q-tip. NOALOX (found on Amazon on your local hardware store) is great to help loosen up threads, make sure to keep conductive components in tip top shape.
Tube: The tube itself is pretty maintenance free, minus the threads on either end. Over time, you will start to see dirt collect. Dirt or gunk build up will add resistance and performance will decrease. Make sure to wipe down the threads on top and bottom at least once every couple of weeks with an alcohol swab or Q-Tip* and apply a little bit of NOALOX* (a conductive compound grease) if need be.
End Cap: Again, a pretty maintenance free part. Never force the end cap on to the tube, lightly rotate until it catches the threads and continue until tight. If you start to see dirt build up, clean with an alcohol swab.
Mechanical Switch (Bottom Button): Our new bottom buttons consist of 4 machined pieces. These pieces are built out of stainless steel & delrin, and although stainless won't oxidize like aluminum, it will show were over time, and performance will diminish. There is 1 main area that needs to be cleaned at least once or twice a month. That piece, is the Stainless Steel screw. Even as simple as taking your finger and wiping it down. A tiny bit of NOALOX on this screw isn't a bad idea either.

Once you have the proper cleaning techniques in place, you can guarantee yourself worry free vaping for months and years to come.

The Icon is a quality, mechanical mod that delivers a great vaping experience when paired with a LR Boge cartomizer or a LR Joye 306 atomizer. The only downsides of the Icon that I can see are that I have to recharge the batteries a couple of times a day and I have had problems with the atomizer connection. The connection seems a little loose to me and I have had to fiddle with it to get some of my cartomizers to fire properly. Also, when the cartomizers are screwed into the connection, they seem to wiggle a little. Not much, but enough to be of some concern.

This is my outside the house mod. I was looking for something small and that I could take to work. More or less eGo sized and pocket friendly.

I have been in and out off machine shops half my life. The maker of my ICON should be proud as he has done a fine job. All threads are smooth, 2 large vent holes and switch that fires every time. AW IMR and Tenergy both fit great with no problems.

In a nutshell, this is a "mini Prodigy". If my wife's hands were bigger, she would've stole that one from me too. It's always in her purse and now she is a 100% e smoker! For the two days I've got to use it, this little guy gives a good hit and produces plenty of vapor.

It's a good thing I bought a Prodigy and Icon at the same time. Well worth the money and absolutely no complaints about both products! She was a half-pack smoker/day and is still on her first battery from 4 days ago.

After years of replacing penstyle batteries from other shops I was looking for something more durable. My husband has used a prodigy for the last year, so I of course was going with Puresmoker.

The style is lovely. I got the blasted finish and love it. It's small enough to fit in my purse or pocket, which was important to me.

I found it easy to use and set up, and got used to the bottom button over a side button easily.

I'm currently favoring the LR boge carto's but I'm still testing cartos. I find I do go through liquid faster with the icon, but it's worth it for the consistency.

It took a while choosing between the prodigy and the icon. With a low res carto the vapor is warm and has a good enough hit that i'm happy. Make no mistake, once you've tried 6v, nothing is quite the same. At 6v it's more like a hookah draw. The icon is like a really good penstyle ecig. For my daily use though the Icon is perfect, and I trust it to really last.

just recieved the icon. This device is awesome!! I am using a lr boge carto and i am in heaven. Clouds of vapor and a really good throat hit!! The icon is very well made and is the best mod i have tried at 3.7 volts. Very good quality. I would reccomend this mod to serious vapors!!
