All Good at 3.7v
July 6, 2012
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from From KY
I've been using the dual coils in my V3.1 at 3.7v for over a year. I've tried the Boge and Bud cartos at various ohms and nothing compares to the dual coils. I usually get a about three days out of one before it starts getting hard to draw. They really last a long time between refills and give a good hit at 3.7v. A couple of these in your pocket and your good to go all day long. For those that do not like dual coils, I think it really depends on the juice you are using. I use SLM exclusively and they are a perfect fit.

Very sceptical of dual coil

I got a nice punchy hit and great flavor from these, but they killed both of my Ego pass through batteries. The box I got wouldn't fit the 510 threads either, so I had to hold them together. Those batteries were amazing and I'm still mourning their loss.
I am very leary of trying any of the "over clocked" variations again. I just don't have the money to throw down the drain when they ruin my equipment, or even damage other devices in my house.
The regular Joyetech cartos gave me the same hit and performance, so I think I'll stay inside the box from now on.

I'm not loving these...

I got a couple of the stainless steel ones and I am not having the same experience as others. I have tried different pg/vg mixes and I get mild flavor, minimal vapor, and a really hot carto. I'm using them at 3.7v on a Silver Bullet and an eGo. I'm glad that some of you are enjoying them but I get much better flavor and vapor out of regular LR Boge cartomizer.

Dual Coil 510 Soft Cap Carto
October 20, 2011
Reviewer: Marc Rushing from Albuquerque, NM United States
I have a Prodigy v3.1 and I was excited by the prospect of these dual coil cartos that could supposedly be used at 3.7 or 6v. At 6 volts, these things are useless. They get very, very hot very, very fast and the hit is well....worthless. I actually gagged. I tried a few more hits, but it was just so bad I could not wait to get that nonsense of my device. Unfortunately, I wasted a lot of juice and money :/ Lesson learned. You may, however, have better luck at 3.7 volts or lower...I am not willing to mess with it.

WOW

While I am a little worried about the clear falling apart, as below, I am thrilled with the quality so far. The throat hit is fierce (SLM low nic on an Icon v1.1) and flavor is fabulous plus plenty of vapor production for my needs. The clear held 35 drops of silver leaf menthol and prob could have topped off with a bit more but I was impatient. I bought both silver and clear and will compare, but I love that I can see what is going on in there- perhaps fewer burned out carts would make it worth spending the money on these!

Mostly Good But a little bad

Reviewer: DP from KS
I like the concept behind these and especially like the clear as seeing the liquid is quite handy. I've gone through 3-4 of the stainless and the clear. The dual coil really does pack a nice flavor and punch on my Prodigy(6V) and the eGo. But you should be warned about a few things I found in my recent purchases:
Clear cartos do not fit the eGo. The 501 will thread correctly but the cone will not fit. The stainless fit correctly though.
Clear cartos have a problem with the casing glue or material. These covers will come off easily as noted by "slybooz". This is unfortunate, as I like the clear casing but falling apart in my pocket is a bad thing. But, it doesn't seem to be a problem for the stainless ones. It's not just 6V that will cause the problem; the clear carto on my eGo (without the cone) fell apart there as well.
All-in-all, they are flavorful cartos. But clear has problems. Stainless doesn't seem to.

I have a love hate relationship with these!

I love the taste and they hold alot of juice for long days out and about. I use them at 3.7 volts and after three days of heavy use, they clog up and getting a good hit is almost impossible. I have tried washing them out but it dont work. I just ordered 20 more and believe these should last me a month. If you can afford to toss them every three or so days, these are great. I contacted puresmoker and they said that if they are used at higher voltages they dont clog as easy. I give them 5 stars based on taste and the amount of tonic they can hold.

Awesome!

These are great. They eat a LOT of juice though and from what I hear, the bottom part of the atty holds 30% of juice below the coils that you don't get to use.
However, the first drag off of one of these with a V3 @ 6v is amazing. It hits really hard and gives a nice kick. I use Fire & Ice juice religiously and the flavor is way better than my previous 901 atomizers on the same V3 (and I thought THAT was good).
They've lasted about a week or more before it starts to "stiffen up" and vapor production declines. For the price though, it's not too bad. I only wish juice was cheaper for how much these things go through. I can "condom" fill one of these with 1 3/4 fills and it will last about 4-6 hours. If you carry two pre-charged atty's, you'll be good for your day at work, the drive home, and most of the night if not all.

Different

I prefer Boge cartomizers to these, but they are hard to compare. The dual coil carto on my 510 battery requires that i take smaller puffs rather than long drags for a similar experience. Flavor is almost better than Boge and th is almost too strong, while vapor production is not as good. Apples and oranges... Worth a try still.
*UPDATE*
As it happens, vapor production is great from these. Flavor is not as good as Boge cartomizers. Throat hit is in fact vicious. For whatever reason these won't work with my 5v passthrough. Bottomline- they're still worth the purchase.

I like 'em

I got four of these. I gave one of the clear LR cartos to my girlfriend for her to use on her Prodigy V2 and I put another on my V3.
Having a clear carto is fantastic! Not only do these cartos hold more liquid, but since they're clear, you can visually notice when they are looking dry.
However, after about 2weeks, the cartomizer kind of fell apart. The tube part detached from the thread part. It must be the type of glue that's used to connect the plastic tube to the threads. The carto still functions, even with the tube just hanging onto the threads very loosely.
This problem happened to BOTH me AND my girlfriend within the same week, on two different voltages, so I am a little weary of buying the clear ones again, even though they are very convenient.
On 6v, the throat hit, flavor and vapor are fantastic, although these cartos seem to drink quite a bit of juice compared to the Boge carto's.
Definitely worth checking out for the price and convenience.
